Ideal Systems designed and built a e-Gaming Competition Production Center for TENCENT TIMI Studio Group in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen, China.

 

The TIMI e-Sports Competition Production Center is run by Tencent Interactive Entertainment Group TIMI Studio Group for the production needs of TIMI E-sports Gaming Competitions.  Using Tencent's cloud-connectivity and 5G transmission capabilities TIMI e-Sports Competition Production Center supports remote production capability that can be accessed by venues across China. The new center will produce various shows such as Honor of Kings, QQ GKART, Call of Duty, and other popular gaming competitions. It will also be a hub to support competition artists, train new talent in the gaming competition arena, and promote the establishment of a base for e-gaming education and practices.

Huang Cheng, director of Tencent's Interactive TIMI E-sports Competition Center and secretary-general of the KPL Alliance, said, “The use of the production center will further enhance the production capacity of the entire gaming competition industry. We can take advantage of its technology features to achieve seamless connectivity. As can be seen from the tests, our round-trip signal transmission control is fast and stable, this capacity can support several events, such as KPL, A-League and other national competitions.  Huang Cheng said: "From the history of China's e-competition development, many related industries are concentrated in Shanghai, including e-sports club, e-sports content production, live transmissions and so on." This Production Center is not only a first in Shenzhen, is the first in southern China with production broadcast, remote production, and program packaging capability. This is a bright spot of the development of the e-gaming competition industry in southern China, the future will certainly help the entire industry to move forward.”

On May 18, TIMI E-sports Competition Production Center was officially launched in Shenzhen.  Nanshan Committee Standing Committee, Minister of Publicity Liao Zibin, Tencent Interactive Entertainment Group TIMI E-sports Competition Center Director, KPL Alliance Secretary-General Huang Cheng and others participated in the launch ceremony.

TIMI Competition Production Center includes e-sports competition production, e-competition content distribution, remote venue transmission, e-competition education and training, artist management, production technology research and development and so on. The overall investment of the project is approximately $8,000,000 USD, the follow-up will provide hundreds of jobs. The project was launched in October 2020 and officially opened on May 18, 2021.

Ideal Systems combined various technologies and features including cloud-based systems and 5G networks in the solution design. The system integrates Tencent's cloud networking capabilities and has a decentralized architecture that offers flexibility and continuity. The Center’s equipment selection uses high-end fully redundant broadcast equipment which provides international standard first-class studio production capacity. The center also has set up a video production laboratory for research and development of next-generation video and television technology and streaming technology patents.

Brand color plays an important role in visual communication, highlights the uniqueness, and reflects the overall recognition of TIMI E-Competition brand.
