Sienna NDI® Infrastructure for CCTV News 

Ideal Systems provides Sienna Cloud NDI® solution for CCTV News in China. 

China Media Group has chosen Ideal Systems to design and build their new enterprise cloud solution for CCTV News’, New Media Center, which is part of China Media Group (CMG). The new NDI Cloud system has the capacity to encode, route and deliver over 300 simultaneous NDI video streams. The customized NDI workflow enables CCTV News to efficiently manage a multitude of live feeds on a cohesive NDI production platform for its local and regional users and mobile news production teams via the cloud.

The NDI system at CCTV News New Media Center now processes over 100 live video feeds from video conferencing web cameras from various manufacturers, 4G/5G transmitters, SRT transmission equipment, satellite signals, encoders, mixers, and graphic dispersed production systems etc. 

The brand-new NDI system enables CCTV New Media to implement integrated program production on a unified NDI platform that covers all equipment and operate a seamless 7x24x365 live broadcast facility. 

Mark Gilbert, Chief Technology Officer at Gallery Sienna in the UK, who provided the Sienna ND Processing Engine, which is at the core of the new CCTV platform, worked closely with the Ideal Systems China team to provide consultancy for the solution architecture of the system.
